The Craft Studio (@craftstudionyc) is so excited to be celebrating one year in Brooklyn! Owned by Lindsey Peers, mom of three.. the story of the Craft Studio is one for the books. It was founded in 1994 (their UES location) when Lindsey was in 4th grade in Western New York. Fast forward to Lindsey at 18 as a college freshman in NYC looking for another job and she stumbled upon the studio! She fell in love and worked all the time… even taking the owner to coffee with poster board ideas on how the studio could expand and grow. To her surprise the owner offered to sell her the business. At 21 with student loans and no pile of cash Lindsey signed a contract to slowly take over the business. Cut to 2024 and three locations later the studio is thriving and lives by it’s mission to create kindness, community, and happiness for all in their communities.
The studio offers amazing classes, drop in art experiences, workshops, mini-camps, and THE BEST parties ever ever. They also partner with many schools as a part of their after school, do parties-to-go in homes or businesses, have seasonal pop ups in The Hamptons, work with many hotel groups, have a line of kits, contributes to many TV and news outlets, and above all gives back and helps many charitable organizations as it can. “We aren’t just a place to come to once or twice we route ourselves in our communities and are a part of lives from toddler to kids to tweens to teens and adults.
Come create magic with us!” A Brooklyn studio has been a dream of Lindsey’s for many years as she and her husband lived in Park Slope and they love spending time in Brooklyn with their kids and friends.
“It is such an amazing part of the city full of color, inspiration, and fun! We couldn’t dream up a more perfect neighborhood than where we are on 295 Atlantic Ave (between Smith & Hoyt St). It is easy for families and individuals from all over BK to get to us and we have a space large enough for the biggest most awesome parties but yet it also feels welcoming and magical for even drop in art. We have loved hosting events, parties, classes, workshops, and crafters in our BK studio and can’t wait for more magic!”
