Time flies when you’re having fun… The first day of NYC public school is Thursday, September 7th which leaves many NYC families puzzling together childcare through early September. Aegir Boardworks

Running since 2018, Aegir Boardworks Skate Camp is a fun, expanded version of their year-round skate lessons. When school is out, Aegir runs skateboard camps for kids ages 4 and up, creating a rambunctious yet guided experience for their students. Kids will be sorted into small groups and given instruction by their team of attentive, passionate local skateboarders at Golconda Park, their neighboring skate park. Broken Bones Skate Club

Magic Summer Camps at Brooklyn Magic Shop are creatively and thoughtfully designed to help build and foster young aspiring magicians' magic and artistic skills in a safe, positive, and friendly environment. Young magicians will learn and apply tailored sleight-of-hand magic, participate in prop-making, and learn the importance of hand-eye coordination, movement, acting, and voice. Have fun, be Inspired, and build Community, at Brooklyn Music Factory's summer camp. At BMF camp, kids ages 4-11 join bands and spend their days writing songs, playing music games, and more in fully equipped studios. In addition, campers enjoy free time at the park every day, getting lots of fresh air and physical activity. On Fridays, the bands perform their original songs for one another, and the performances are recorded to share with friends and family! Register here.

Brooklyn Ninja Academy
Park Slope/Gowanus

Three hours of ninja warrior training every day will consist of specialized obstacle training, obstacle clinics, skills and strength training, games, ninja workshops plus professional ninja visits and interactions, and more ninja fun! Some days are intense training, but it's always fun and appropriate for each individual's level. Want to compete? Train all summer to prepare for World Ninja League season in the fall. Wednesday is Climbing Day! All ninjas will spend one hour at Cliffs Gowanus for a rock climbing field trip. Rock climbers make great ninjas, and vice versa! Register here.

Child’s Play NY summer camps shine a spotlight on kids’ imagination and creativity. Budding thespians of all levels learn sophisticated theater techniques as they grow their bravery and talents. This award-winning drama program is helmed by vibrant teaching artists using a games-based curriculum that inspires collaboration and joy.
