Water Lab at Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 6 – Brooklyn Heights
Enter near Bridge Park Drive at Atlantic Avenue
- Better with big kids, but there is a typically quiet area to sit top back portion
- Around the corner from Swing Valley, Slide Mountain, Sandbox and other Brooklyn Bridge Park features
- Fornino Pizza is conveniently adjacent with picnic tables and a rooftop space for a quick bite on the waterfront. Iris Café and Estuary are also very close.
- Tip: Avoid on busy weekends with the littlest kiddos
- Open 9am-sunset
Pier 2 Water Area at Brooklyn Bridge Park Uplands – Brooklyn Heights
Entrance between Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 1 and Pier 2 (150 Furman Street)
- Multiple semi-enclosed areas for kids to run around on this tiered splash pad
- Across from Pier 2 bathrooms, sports area, roller skating, and free kayaking
- Open daily 8am-sunset
Abolitionist Place – Downtown Brooklyn
Willoughby Street at Albee Square West, adjacent to 227 Duffield Street
- Water element
- Children's Playground
- Dog Park
- Open 6am-1am
Underwood Park Playground – Clinton Hill
Entrance near Lafayette and Waverly
- Chill sprinklers area for both big kids and little kids
- Side ledge for parents to sit and watch their kids
- Shaded by tree canopy
- Next to playground with separate areas for big and little kids
- Across the street from G train
The Splash Pad at Lakeside Prospect Park – Prospect Park/Prospect Lefferts Gardens
171 East Drive – enter at Lincoln Road and Ocean/Parkside Avenue entrances
- 16,000 square foot Splash Pad with 47 water spray jets
- Food and drinks available at neighboring Bluestone Cafe with indoor and outdoor seating
- Around the corner from Zucker Natural Exploration playground
- Open daily 10:30am-6pm
Imagination Playground – Prospect Park/Prospect Lefferts Gardens
Enter at Ocean Avenue just south of Lincoln Road
Harmony Playground – Prospect Park/Park Slope
Enter at Prospect Park West between Ninth and 11th Streets
- Lots of water features including Harp shower and misting sprays
- Tips: Come with another parent since water features are spread out. Not alot of shade here, reapply sunscreen!
The Third Street Playground – Prospect Park/Park Slope
Enter at Prospect Park West at Third Street
- Short walk into park
- Very fun half circle sprinklers for kids to run through
J.J. Byrne Playground – Park Slope/Gowanus
Third Street at Fifth Avenue
- Fun features including water cannons, sprinklers, water mill
- Adjacent to awesome playground including climbing area and swing set
Domino Park Fountain – Williamsburg
15 River Street
- Amazing riverfront view
- Fountain sprinklers shoot straight up from the ground – illuminated at nightfall
- Next to Domino Park slides playground, taqueria, open lawn
- Stadium-style seating for parents to relax and watch kids
Beyond the standard sunscreen, swimsuit, towel, don't forget to bring a plastic cup or bucket to maximize the kids' interactive water fun. Have a fun splash session and stay cool!
