Description
Celebrate National Fair Housing Month and Earth Day at the Lewis Latimer House through graphic design and Lego printmaking! Join us to create public awareness posters that communicate the intersections between fair housing and environmental activism.
This STEAM Saturday workshop will feature the artwork of Lewis Latimer's daughter, Rebecca Louise, who created graphic design for W.E.B. Dubois’ The Crisis magazine and opened the Latimer home to students and artists in need.
Participants will also have a chance to learn about local initiatives and assistance surrounding fair and just housing in Queens!
