EARLY EXPLORERS We are so excited to welcome back our Early Explorers! We invite caregivers and children aged 0 - 24 months to join Ms. Reina* to cruise around and explore the classroom and materials independently and get familiarity with each other and adults. During our session, there’ll be activities for exploration based on curiosity. As the children get comfortable and begin to trust the environment, we will add some sensorial materials which will include some wet and some dry (paint, other dry ones). All materials will be washable but we can’t make promises. Change of clothes recommended.
Classes will take place Thursdays 3:45 - 4:30 at EMM’s facilities (295 Columbia Street). Drop in: $40 / class or buy a pack of 10 for $350. First class free! Registration here.
About Ms. Reina Reina Figueroa (Montessori Infant/Toddler Guide and Spanish Head Guide) was born in El Salvador where she graduated in Bilingual business education. She has 2 adult children who also were born and raised in Carroll Gardens and attended schools there as well. She lived in the US for nearly 40 years and since have worked in preschools and with 2 year olds most of her teaching years. She discovered the Montessori style of teaching while working at a school on the Upper East Side. Reina received her Infant/Toddler training at Center for Montessori Training Education at College of New Rochelle. She is passionate about the Montessori method of education and respectful of each child’s natural curiosity and eagerness for knowledge. She is the Head Guide for our Marigolds classroom.
