Sparkling with the sound of young talent, The Fat Cats is a pre-professional youth orchestra. The group is composed of one big band and two small ensembles that perform Latin jazz and standard jazz pieces and showcase the finest young talent from across all NYC boroughs.

Founded in 2010 by Arturo O’Farril and managed by the Afro Latin Jazz Alliance, The Fat Cats is led by Zack O’Farrill with Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra members Jim Seeley, Berta Moreno, and Jasim Perales, as well as Arthur Alvarez and Adam Baksh-García.
