Join us to share the joy of Diwali, the Festival of Lights celebrated by Hindus, Jains, and Sikhs worldwide! Diwali (also known as Deepavali) symbolizes the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance, making it a festival of joy, positivity, and togetherness.
At the event families and children of all ages will enjoy:
- a Diwali storytime (in the Youth Wing Upper Program Room)
- Indian music, as well as a short Indian dance lesson (in the Youth Wing Upper Program Room)
- Making Rangoli (designs with chalk and colored sand) outdoors in the Children's Garden Courtyard
- Recommended for families with children of all ages, but most appropriate for ages 4 and up.
Registration is recommended, although walk-ins may be permitted based on space availability. The program will begin in the Upper Program Room in the Youth Wing, accessed by stairs. However, the design-making will take place in the Children's Courtyard, which is an accessible area.
