Description
Latino Outdoors NYC & NYS Parks are celebrating Pride in our parks! Join us on Friday, June 28 for a Sunset Stroll & Pride Picnic at Marsha P. Johnson State Park. We’ll enjoy a leisurely-paced, historical walk around the park to learn about the life and legacy of LGBTQI+ activist, Marsha P. Johnson, and then enjoy a picnic together as we watch the sunset over the East River.
Seltzer waters, fruit, cookies, and empanadas will be provided by Latino Outdoors. Feel free to bring a blanket/folding chair as well as a little treat to enjoy with us and/or to share with the group. Sunset is right at 8:30 pm! This event is great for families and community members of all ages! As always, our events are FREE for all!
Bathrooms and water fountains are available on site. The route will take place on a mix of grass & concrete pathways. Public transportation and side street parking is available.
