EL GRITO PRESENTS the Sunset Park Puerto Rican Parade and Festival in Sunset Brooklyn, NY on 9th June 2024. The parade begins at 5 pm; the festival begins at 6:30 pm, hosted by Bonafide Rojas featuring an open community bombazo.
Our Parade theme for this year is Las Calles y Las Playas son del Pueblo - The Streets and the Beaches are of the People. At a time when displacement is occurring for Puerto Ricans in the archipelago and within the diaspora, we use this year’s parade to celebrate our global presence and culture by saying, “we’re still here.” This year’s parade will celebrate and highlight the current issues shared by communities in Puerto Rico and New York, boricua customs while activating all of us to say, “nos tenemos- Las Calles y Las Playas son del Pueblo”.
