Description
Earth Matter NY’s annual NYC Lavender Festival offers two days of tours, demonstrations, maker workshops, harvesting opportunities and fun family activities at the Lavender Field on Governors Island — a healing space for community, bees and the earth, and the only lavender field in New York City!
Visit June 8 – 9 to dive into the heady fragrance of lavender, see the field in bloom, and take advantage of spectacular photo opportunities.
Registration is required for the following workshops and activities:
- Your own lavender bouquet from a field full of Lavender flowers overlooking the beautiful Buttermilk Channel.
- Free distillation demonstration. See the invisible made visible! Learn how fragrance gets out of the flower and into the bottle. No tickets are required. Just stop by!
- Fragrant Wreath Workshop: June 8th and 9th at 2 pm
- Paint a Pot, Plant a Pot: June 9th noon to 1 pm
