The River & Blues Concert Series is a celebrated NYC summer tradition featuring Global and American folk, roots and blues music for 25 years! This summer, Battery Park City Authority presents four FREE concerts sure to delight music fans of all ages. Picturesque Rockefeller Park is the perfect summer show venue with breathtaking views of Hudson River sunsets, picnic-friendly fairgrounds and refreshing waterfront breezes. Rockefeller Park in Battery Park City is the place to be for nature-lovers and music-lovers alike!
August 1st - Abraham Alwxander
The album Sea/Sons, from Abraham Alexander is a lush, seductive affair that showcases a singer-songwriter’s beguiling voice — one which offers both honey and grit — and supple acoustic guitar work. There is a refreshing genre fluidity at play as elements of folk, pop, rock, R&B, gospel, and even electronic music intertwine into a cohesive whole that is simultaneously warm and cool.
