Celebrate a CAR-FREE EARTH DAY on Berry Open Street on Saturday, April 20th! We’re excited to partner with environmental justice organizations and community groups for an Earth Day on Berry Street, between South 3rd and 5th, from 10 AM to 3 PM. We’ll be having:
- Environmental justice organizations @elpuentepresente and @oceana talk about their advocacy work and how you can support their efforts.
- Cork recycling with @reti_center —bring old wine corks you have stashed to help make floating gardens on NYC waterways!
- Make native seed plant balls with @nbkparks
- Students from @prattplacemaking talking about urban design
- Health and wellness information and harm reduction training from @nycc4h .
- The @bklynlibrary with a selection of books on our earth and the natural world.
- Street activities including drawing with @streetlab, movement with @zing.kids and @myplayday, and skateboarding with @skateyogi
- Entertainment featuring clown comedians from @thefizgigstudio
