Description
Volunteer with BROOKLYN ORG at Wyckoff House Museum’s urban farm to help process food scraps and compost and prepare for spring with a general garden clean up.
No special skills are required, but it’s recommended volunteers dress in layers of clothing suitable for outdoor work, durable boots or sneakers, and bring a refillable water bottle, and snacks.
Tasks can be physically strenuous and can include weeding, mulching, turning compost, or harvesting, depending on the needs of the farm that day.
Age requirements: Ages 14+ may join without a guardian, ages 5 – 14 guardian is required. No volunteers under 5 are permitted.
