The most powerful thing we can do for the earth, for our kids, and for each other is collective action to end fossil fuels and speed up a just transition to a renewable economy.
That's why, this Earth Month, Climate Families NYC is organizing a month chock full of in-person and digital opportunities to take action, connect, and have fun doing it. To keep things simple, we have one RSVP for the whole month. So sign up for all of the events/ actions you're interested in and we'll follow up with all the details you need to participate. Think of it as a menu and choose the actions that work for you!
Here are some more details about what we have planned:
- Playdate and Art Build at McCarren Park, Sunday, 4/7 from 10 am-noon
- Call Relay for Climate, Jobs, and Justice, all day on Wed., 4/10
- Write a Letter for Green and Healthy Schools, St. Vartan's Park in Murray Hill. Sat., 4/13 from 11 am-1 pm
- Climate Action Day Toolkit on Wed., 4/17
- Youth Climate Strike at Foley Square on Friday, 4/19 at 2 pm followed by a Picnic at Battery Park at 5 pm
- Earth Day: Take Action Against Environmental Racism (more TBA) on Monday, 4/22
- Donut Fund Fossil Fuels, Citi! Banking on Climate Justice (RSVP for details)
- Happy Hour for Grownups on Friday, 5/3 from 7-9 pm (Location TBD)
