Description
SAB’s FREE lecture-demonstration program is open to the public and presented at NYC neighborhood venues for family audiences. This hour-long performance is led by SAB faculty member Katrina Killian and features advanced SAB students. Guests are offered a sneak peek inside SAB’s classroom to witness how students train to become professional dancers.
Audience members will have the opportunity to try a few steps right from their seats before seeing excerpts from famous ballets including The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, and The Sleeping Beauty – performed by our students in costume to live music. Recommended for young children and families, The Beauty of Ballet is a wonderful introduction to the art of ballet. Read more about this program from the perspective of an SAB student performer.
