Families please join us here at Barnes & Noble Atlantic Ave for our Saturday Storytime lead by author Barbara Elaine Burns reading her book The Curious Twins !!!
This book is intended to pay tribute to family. It is written to heighten compassion, create a space for children to be themselves with a sense of humor and love. It is a family momentum. No matter what adversity a person may be facing, happiness is the ultimate pursuit. We are all human, and as parents, we do our best to give our children the finest upbringing. This story is for everyone raising a child, planning a family, and those who must answer to precious curious little ones. This story supports parenthood because raising kids can be tough. Particularly raising them while living with any type of disability or impairment can make nurturing challenging.
Barbara Elaine Burns is an African American woman who resides in New York City. She is a mother of four, including twins, whom she loves very much. Long-time freelance creative writer, she has wanted to publish her own book since she was a young girl. Working in health care, Barbara achieved a master's degree. She supports diversity, inclusion, and health equity. She has received several writing accolades that empowered and provided encouragement to stand-up inside herself to become a published author.
We will start at 11 am in our lower-level Picture Book section and end tentatively at 11:30 am. We will have stools set up for the children to sit and enjoy our storytime.
