Description

Program Details:

  • Our Full Day Sessions run from 9a – 3p, with an optional extended stay until 5:30p. Drop-off and pick-up will happen at the door. Please understand that we can not allow parents or siblings inside the Foundry at this time.
  • We will build one robot project each day, which is listed in the description for that day. We will also be doing additional crafts, experiments, playing games, and having lots of movement breaks! We also hope to take advantage of our backyard whenever weather permits.
  • Each child will have their own building/playing station, as well as their own tools. Children will be required keep 3 feet of distance from each other and to wear a mask, except when eating.
  • The sessions are fun. Super fun! It’s our goal to make sure the kids all have a blast while doing and learning awesome things. No previous robot experience required!
  • Open to children 6-10 years old. We recommend our online program for children 10-12 years old, as well as those who wish to take part in our Inventors program

  11. Will my child take the robots home? Yes! One of the criteria we use when designing our activities is selecting materials and projects that kids can continue to work on and tinker with after the program is over.
  12. Will there be outside time each day? We will spend some time outside every day. Please send your child with appropriate clothing (raincoats, sunblock applied, etc).
  13. What ages do you accept into the sessions? Our in-person sessions are for 6-10 year olds. We also offer online sessions for 6-12 year olds.
  14. My child has never built robots before, is that okay? Sure, no problem at all! They don’t have to have any experience, we will teach them all they need to know.
  15. What is the child to teacher ratio? Our maximum ratio is 8 children to one adult staff member, however it is usually lower than that during our classes.
  16. What happens if the program can’t run in-person due to Covid restrictions? If we are not able to run in-person any day, will offer an online program in it’s place. Usually the sessions take place from 9a-12p or 1p-4p. Although it is a shorter session, we will make all of the same projects we had planned to make in-person. We will arrange a time for families to pick up their robot supplies before the session begins.
