For Girl Scouts of Greater New York, online sales opened on January 15th and local Troops will be begin selling cookies in-person February 19th until this year's cookie season ends on March 30.

Launched in 2017, Girl Scouts of Greater New York’s Troop 6000 is a first-of-its-kind program designed to serve families living in temporary housing in the New York City shelter system. Each week, Girl Scouts meet in shelters across the city to take part in activities that help them make new friends, earn badges, and learn to see themselves as leaders.

All of the net revenue raised through the Girl Scout Cookie Program—100 percent of it—stays with the local council and troops. Troops may use the money earned to fund a project that will improve their community or donate the money to a worthy cause.
