A Summer of Problem Solving and Play at Bouldering Project Brooklyn

Experience a fun, social environment for youth (ages 5-12) to build climbing skills and confidence

By Bouldering Project Brooklyn May 2, 2024

Climbing is social, silly, frustrating, hilarious, inspiring, and so much more. Bouldering Project Brooklyn offers a variety of programs to engage and inspire kids from ages 5-12 in Gowanus, Brooklyn.

Our youth programs teach kids skills like resilience, problem-solving, camaraderie, and calculated risk taking—all while tapping into their love of adventure. Our space has a dedicated youth room and a robust set of youth programs.

At Bouldering Project Brooklyn, our youth and family programming is designed to engage and excite! Whether you’re looking for an activity that spans a few hours, a whole day, or even a full week, we have plenty of options to choose from:

Summer Adventures

Geared for school-aged youth, our camps and adventure programs offer plenty of climbing and social time for kids of all experience levels. We design our curriculum to reduce stress, ease the intimidation of heights and falling, and make climbing approachable in a fun and supportive way. We also stress to our students that the goal is not to be the best climbers in the world—the goal is to love climbing and love doing it with one another.

Adventure Weeks are a full week in duration, Monday – Friday, and run from 9:00 am – 3:30 pm. Limited spots for extended care until 6:00 pm are also available.

School Holiday Adventure Days

School Holiday Adventure Days are available to youth ages 5-12 on school holidays and breaks. These Adventure Days offer climbing challenges and social time, in addition to S.T.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) activities, team-building exercises, yoga, and more.

10-Week Afternoon & Weekend Programs

Can’t commit to a full Adventure Week during the summer? We have afternoon and weekend programming that features climbing, activities, discovery and social time – no matter the experience level. Afternoon programming is ideal for an after school activity.
