Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade begins 8:30am Thursday!

Get out early or tune in for the 98th edition of NYC's beloved Macy's Thanksgiving Parade!

This year's event will feature Bishop Briggs, Kylie Cantrall, Chlöe, Dan + Shay, Dasha, Jimmy Fallon & The Roots, Coco Jones, Walker Hayes, Ariana Madix, Joey McIntyre, Idina Menzel, Natti Natasha, T-Pain, Rachel Platten, Lea Salonga, The Temptations, The War and Treaty, Alex Warren and Sebastián Yatra. Dance sensation Charli D’Amelio and ballet dancers Tiler Peck and Roman Mejia will perform. Jonathan Bennett, Liza Colón-Zayas, Tom Kenny, Ginna Claire Mason and members of WNBA Champions, New York Liberty with Ellie the Elephant will also make special appearances. This year’s official national broadcast will include performances from Broadway’s Death Becomes Her, Hell’s Kitchen and The Outsiders as well as the Radio City Rockettes.

  • Candy Cosmos from gummy bear purveyors Haribo, which features a giant replica of its gold bear mascot along with twin snakes, frogs, gummy worms and a rocket ship
  • Dora’s Fantastical Rainforest by Nickelodeon & Paramount
  • Magic Meets the Seas by Disney Cruise Line
  • Masterfeast by Netflix
Parade fans nationwide can watch the official telecast on NBC and simulcast on Peacock, from 8:30 A.M. to 12:00 P.M., in all time zones. “TODAY’s” Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Al Roker will join as hosts of the Emmy®-Award winning celebration. BEHIND-THE-SCENES MAGIC BY THE MACY’S PARADE STUDIO TEAM:

  • Hours of labor from the Parade Studio team of approximately 27 painters, carpenters, animators, sculptors, welders, scenic/costume designers, electricians and engineers – 8,000+
  • Square Footage of the Parade Studio’s headquarters – 72,000
  • Gallons of Paint – 2,000
  • Pounds of Glitter – 300
  • Pounds of Confetti – 200
  • Paint Brushes – 75 fine art brushes + 300 additional types of brushes
  • A Parade float takes approximately four months to construct (with added time for ideation and design). If the Parade Studio team were to start from scratch and build all 28 floats that will appear in the 2021 Parade, it would take eight years
  • More than a ½ mile of hand sewn skirt and fringe wrap each float in the Parade.
