Enjoy food, crafts, & family fun at Atlantic Antic this Sunday!

Plan ahead with these entertainment highlights for all ages

The Atlantic Antic™, New York City’s longest-running and most-unique street festival is in full swing. Organizers at The Atlantic Avenue Local Development Corporation (AALDC) have invited performers and activities which promise to engage and entertain people of all ages and tastes this Sunday, October 2nd. From noon until 6pm, rain or shine, the public is invited to enjoy a variety of merchandise, food, and entertainment as they stroll along ten blocks in neighborhoods including Boerum Hill, Cobble Hill, Brooklyn Heights and Downtown Brooklyn. 



Some of the day’s entertainment highlights will include:

  • The Kids Zone presented by Weill Cornell Medical (b/w Boerum Place & Smith St.) features an array of bouncy houses, face painting, pony rides, Evan V and the Jumping Jams band and Bindlestiff Family Cirkus performances for children.
  • Kids Rocks for Kids Stage at Hollow Nickel presented by Alloy (494 Atlantic Avenue b/w 3rd Ave and Nevins): An energetic and talented group of teens will perform rock songs throughout the day. Come out to BK’s largest street fair and check out this killer lineup of teen rock bands:

    • 1pm Laughing at Life
    • 1:30pm Glenn Strange
    • 2pm Cellarhead
    • 2:30pm Autumn Rhythm
    • 3pm Apocalypse Hips
    • 3:30pm The Only Bay

    • 4:30pm Matter of Minutes 
    • 5pm The Mercurys
  • Walk With Little Amal at 2:30pm (b/w Boerum Place & Court St.): an internationally celebrated 12-foot-tall puppet of a 10-year-old refugee Syrian girl will walk down Atlantic Avenue greeting attendees. 
  • The Main Stage presented by Mount Sinai Doctors (169 Atlantic Avenue b/w Clinton & Court): 
    • 12-12:55pm & 1-1:55pm: The Amber-Aba Orchestra featuring belly dancers
    • 2-3:55pm: New York Arabic Orchestra and Dabka Team Dancers
    • 4:15-4:55pm: The Juggernaut War Party
    • 5:15-6pm: Benny Lopez Latin Jazz Ensemble
  • Community Stage presented by TF Cornerstone Inc. (556 Atlantic Avenue b/w 3rd & 4th Aves): 
    • 12pm, 12:50pm, 4:50pm, 5:15pm sets: Infinity Music Entertainment w/ DJ Tyler B
    • 12:25-12:40pm: CUMBE: Center for African Diaspora and Dance  
    • 1-1:15pm: Kids Breaking League Battle
    • 1:15-1:15pm: CBLKEV
    • 1:35-2pm: Eliza and the Organix
    • 2:05-2:15pm: Renne Catrine
    • 3-3:15pm: Monét Movement Productions - The Collective 
    • 3:15-3:30pm: Banat El Samara 
    • 3:30-3:45pm: Javier Gooden 
    • 3:45-4pm: J.O. Blanco 
    • 4-4:30pm: Da Twin Prince 
    • 4:30-4:50pm: Brooklyn Music School 
    • 5-5:15pm: Brooklyn Ballet
    • 5:30-6pm: Batala, all-female drummers (with additional pop-ups all afternoon)

    • Mark Morris Dance Center hosts fun, family-friendly classes throughout the day
    • Treasure Trunk Theatre hosts 20-minute mini classes on the hour all afternoon (141 Atlantic b/w Clinton & Henry)
    • Mariachi singers at El Zason (491 Atlantic b/w Nevins & 3rd Ave)
    • Brooklyn United Marching Band will march from 4th Ave to Hicks St. starting at 1pm
    • Beyblades tournament at the Explorer Kids' booth in front of their storefront at 485 Atlantic Ave (b/w Nevins St & 3rd Ave)

The Atlantic Avenue Local Development Corporation (AALDC) is a Section 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to further economic development, historic preservation, and cultural enrichment in the greater Atlantic Avenue area. The AALDC provides information, advocacy, produces events and projects that promote economic growth and vitality, for the preservation and development in downtown Brooklyn and neighboring communities.
