National Night Out is an annual event, started in 1984, to promote neighborhood camaraderie and police-community partnerships.
Since then, millions of people in 16,000 communities have taken part in National Night Out events such as block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts, and various other community events.
This year, National Night Out takes place the evening of Tuesday, August 6.
This year's National Night Out events in Brooklyn include:
- 11am-6pm: 77th Precinct at Brower Park in Crown Heights
Meet your 77 Pct. Officers, your neighbors, & have a great time! Free food (hamburgers/hot dogs/chicken/popcorn/etc.), rides, games, music, face painting, live entertainment, and free giveaways. - 11am-7pm: 88th Precinct at Underwood Park in Clinton Hill
Free Rides, Free Food, Activities for Kids, Special Guest DJ, Resources for the Community - 12pm-8pm: 79th Precinct in Restoration Plaza in Bed-Stuy
Children's Activities, Food, Music, Vendors, Meet Community Leaders - 3-6pm: 83rd Precinct on Menahan Street in Bushwick
BBQ, Games, Giveaways, Live DJ, Snacks, Valuable Info & Resources, Electronics & Bicycle Registration - 4-7pm: 76th Precinct at Coffey Park in Red Hook
Music, Food, Resource Fair, Games - 4-8pm: 90th Precinct at William Sheridan Playground in Williamsburg
Music, Food, Refreshments, Educational Resources, Local Community Vendors, Family fun and more! - 4-8pm: 94th Precinct at Lorimer St in Greenpoint
There’ll be FREE food, fun and music for all! - 4:30-9pm: 84th Precinct at Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 5 Picnic Peninsula in Brooklyn Heights
FREE: Hamburgers, Hot dogs, Pizza, Beverages, Snacks, Ice cream, and Spanish ices. Entertainment provided by Pianist Kay Sublime and the Brooklyn Diamonds Drill Team. Educational and Safety Information!
