1. Coney Island Maker Faire

Maker Faire Coney Island is an interactive event that celebrates, shares, and showcases the work of inventors, creators, and DIY enthusiasts of all ages. Attend competitions, exhibitions, classes, and panels to spotlight and celebrate the great minds and makers from New York, and from around the world. The event features hands-on exhibits, demonstrations, and workshops in fields such as robotics, crafts, engineering, art, music, 3D printing, and future technologies, designed by students, teachers, and independent folks who build interesting things.

2. Brooklyn Circus at Brooklyn Children's Museum

6. Fall Festival at Atlantic Terminal Plaza

Atlantic Terminal and Brooklyn Bridge Parents are hosting a FREE family-friendly fall festival on Atlantic Terminal’s outdoor plaza and car-free Fort Greene Place with mini pumpkin patch, pumpkin decorating, haunted trucks, live music, soccer, Pokemon Trading Station, and a costume dance party – free and fun for all ages. Kids are encouraged to come in costumes. Bring your Pokemon collection and trade with other Pokemon fans at the Pokemon Trading Station!

7. Celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Day at Brooklyn Children's Museum

Join Brooklyn Children’s Museum for a day of traditional dance, interactive storytelling, and cooking, pottery, and art-making workshops, together with the North American Indigenous Center of New York. City Point and Brooklyn Bridge Parents kick off the spooky season with pumpkin decorating, fall crafts, and Labubu meet and greet. Costumes encouraged! Best for ages 2 to 10. 11. The Annual Great Pupkin Dog Costume Contest + Halloween Fest in Fort Greene Park

Presented by Fort Greene PUPS, the Great PUPkin is Brooklyn's largest and most outrageous dog costume contest. 14. Bay Ridge Halloween Festival

Get ready for a spooktacular Halloween Fest full of tricks, treats, and haunted surprises on 5th Avenue in Bay Ridge! Brooklyn Bridge Parents is partnering with the 5th Avenue BID to bring you Halloween Fest, a spooktacular free block party taking over 10 car-free blocks of 5th Avenue from 72nd to 85th Street. Celebrate the season with free kids activities, including a bouncy house, pumpkin decorating, “Trunk-or-Treat,” a puppet show, haunted trucks, music, crafts, and so much more! CityParks' PuppetMobile will feature Astrid Lindgren’s Pippi Longstocking at 4pm, presented in tandem with the 80th anniversary of the beloved book and in association with the Astrid Lindgren Foundation. Kids and families will experience the incredible adventures of quick-witted and super-strong Pippi as she overcomes bullies and burglars, all while fending off social conventions that seek to keep her in check. Enjoy delicious bites from local restaurants representing flavors from around the world and stroll through the festively decorated side streets of Bay Ridge. Kids are encouraged to come in costumes.
