Fall officially arrives this Monday... Don't miss these season family-friendly Fall events coming up in Brooklyn! 

Saturday, September 27 | 12-4pm 

45th Annual GreenThumb Harvest Fair at Herbert Von King Park in Bed-Stuy 

Join NYC Parks GreenThumb and GreenThumb community gardeners in celebrating the start of fall with workshops, live entertainment, healthy cooking demonstrations, giveaways, pumpkin patch, archery, lawn games, scarecrow making, face painting, and more! 





September 27 – November 9 (including Monday, Oct. 13) | 11am-5pm

Pumpkin Patch Weekends at Green Meadows Farm in Marine Park

Head to Green Meadows farm for a day of outdoor activities, and choose a favorite pumpkin from their patch. Farm activities include hayrides, petting zoo, Katie the talking cow, bunny barn, playground, and farm machinery play.

4th Annual City of Forest Day across NYC

The fourth annual City of Forest Day is on Saturday, October 4th! Presented by Forest for All NYC in partnership with the Parks and Open Space Partners coalition and NYC Department of Parks and Recreation (NYC Parks), City of Forest Day is an annual day of activities across the city to raise awareness of the importance of the New York City urban forest, and the essential role New Yorkers play every day in caring for the “lungs” of our city.

Annual Carroll Park Fair in Carroll Gardens

Grab your friends and family for a day filled with good vibes, great shopping, and an awesome community event! Crafts, housewares, art, books, music, clothes, jewelry, antiques and collectibles.

Best of BAMkids Film Festival

Experience your favorite films from the 2025 BAMkids Film Festival all over again—or see them for the very first time—in these special encore screenings of the festival’s greatest hits, as selected by our wonderful audiences.

  • Sat, Oct 4 at 11am – For ages 3-5
    A selection of the most popular films for ages three to five from this year’s BAMkids Film Festival, including ANIMANIMUSICAL, Kid President, A Dragon in Name Only, The Carp and the Child, Mushroom Magic, and more
  • Sat, Nov 15 at 11am – For ages 6-8
    Get lost in these festival favorites about friendship and adventure for ages six to eight, including this year’s BAMmie Honorable Mention winner, Sockz Studio's The Lab Rat, and Hoofs on Skates.
  • Sat Dec 6 at 12pm – For ages 9+
    These bold, handpicked gems from this year’s festival explore moments in which brave characters dazzle the world, including this year’s BAMmie Best Live Action winner, Wood Hood, and Best Animated Short winner, My Name is Edgar and I Have a Cow. This screening is perfect for ages nine and above!

Children's Harvest Festival at Saratoga Farm in Bed-Stuy

Come out The Campaign Against Hunger's Children's Harvest Festival in Brooklyn for a day filled with fun activities, delicious treats, and lots of laughter! From arts and crafts to face-painting, there's something for every little one to enjoy. Don't miss out on this exciting event where kids can embrace the autumn spirit and make unforgettable memories.

The 50th Annual Atlantic Antic on Atlantic Avenue

The Atlantic Avenue Local Development Corporation will be celebrating five incredible decades of the Annual Atlantic Antic on Sunday, October 5th. A Brooklyn institution, this year’s event will feature over 300 vendors, live performances, local eats, vintage finds, handmade goods, family fun, and more surprises than ever before!

Fall Festival at Atlantic Terminal Plaza in Downtown Brooklyn

Atlantic Terminal and Brooklyn Bridge Parents are hosting a FREE family-friendly fall festival on Atlantic Terminal’s outdoor plaza and car-free Fort Greene Place with mini pumpkin patch, pumpkin decorating, haunted trucks, live music, soccer, Pokemon Traditin Station, and a costume dance party – free and fun for all ages. Kids are encouraged to come in costumes. Bring your Pokemon collection and trade with other Pokemon fans at the Pokemon Trading Station!

Open House New York Weekend

Open House New York Weekend is an annual festival that unlocks 300 destinations across the five boroughs for behind-the-scenes tours and special activities. Take a look at new buildings transforming the skyline, step inside infrastructure facilities keeping the city running, explore parks offering respite, discover state-of-the-art performance spaces, visit manufacturing workshops, browse private collections, and much more. Stay tuned, the lineup will be announced on September 26th!

Harvest Festival at Brooklyn Bridge Park

Celebrate the changing of the seasons at the Brooklyn Bridge Park’s annual Harvest Festival! Don’t miss their kick-off procession, arts and crafts, storytelling, lawn games and more—including their signature pumpkin patch.





Sunday, October 19 | 11am-1pm

Labubu Pumpkin Fest at CityPoint in Downtown Brooklyn

City Point and Brooklyn Bridge Parents kick off the spooky season with pumpkin decorating, fall crafts, and Labubu meet and greet. Costumes encouraged! Best for ages 2 to 10. The free event will take place on Sunday, October 19, from 11 am to 1 pm at City Point on the ground floor level next to Rumi. Highlights include:

· Pumpkin decorating: take home a pumpkin (while supplies last)

· Selfies with Labubu

· Fall crafts and balloon twisting

Annual Fall Festival at Marsha P. Johnson State Park in Williamsburg

Fall Harvest Festival at Brooklyn Botanic Garden

Celebrate the fall season surrounded by some of Brooklyn’s most fabulous foliage. Enjoy live music, horse-drawn carriage rides, hands-on activities for families, a cider and beer garden, pumpkin-decorating, and more. Come dressed in your best flannel—or a costume for an afternoon parade!

The 27th Annual Great Pupkin Dog Costume Contest + Halloween Fest in Fort Greene Park 

The Great PUPkin is Brooklyn's largest and most outrageous dog costume contest. Scads of dogs enter and ruthlessly compete for the coveted Great PUPkin rosettes for the top pups! Come in costume and stay for the Haunted Costume Ball at the Park's Halloween Fest! Enjoy spooky stories, face painting, haunted music, family-friendly games, and more.

Bay Ridge Halloween Fest on Fifth Avenue

Get ready for a spooktacular Halloween Fest full of tricks, treats, and haunted surprises on 5th Avenue in Bay Ridge! Brooklyn Bridge Parents is partnering with the 5th Avenue BID to bring you Halloween Fest, a spooktacular free block party taking over 10 car-free blocks of 5th Avenue from 72nd to 85th Street. Celebrate the season with free kids activities, including a bouncy house, pumpkin decorating, “Trunk-or-Treat,” a puppet show, haunted trucks, music, crafts, and so much more! CityParks' PuppetMobile will feature Astrid Lindgren’s Pippi Longstocking at 4pm, presented in tandem with the 80th anniversary of the beloved book and in association with the Astrid Lindgren Foundation. Kids and families will experience the incredible adventures of quick-witted and super-strong Pippi as she overcomes bullies and burglars, all while fending off social conventions that seek to keep her in check. Enjoy delicious bites from local restaurants representing flavors from around the world and stroll through the festively decorated side streets of Bay Ridge. Kids are encouraged to come in costumes.

Brooklyn FAM 2025: Festival of Arts & Music in Prospect Park

Save the Date for Brooklyn FAM's 5th Annual Flagship Festival at the Prospect Park Boathouse! With goals including creating more ways to connect across our communities, tell our own stories, and build the resilience of us, this year’s festival celebrates African and Asian diasporic voices on the theme of “Nourish.” What roots us?  Heals and grows us?  Replenishes us?  How do we nourish each other and our communities? Experience participatory puppet theatre, music, dance, community music-making, mixed media crafting, Malian & Japanese indigo dyeing, aromatherapy, and lots of giveaways—from limited-edition picnic blankets and event tote bags to *nourishing* snacks and aromatherapy rollerballs. This event is family-friendly, inter-generational, and FREE to all.

Court Street Spectacular Street Fair in Brooklyn Heights

Enjoy Brooklyn's last big street festival of the year! Come take a stroll down Court Street and visit the merchants and vendors, great food and exciting kiddie rides on Court Street. Great fun all day! Located on Court Street between Atlantic Avenue and Joralemon Street.

BAMboo! Block Party at BAM in Fort Greene

Your family is invited to BAM’s frightfully fun annual Halloween block party, back for another autumn afternoon of candy giveaways, carnival games, arts and crafts, and more. Put on your costume and meet us outside the Peter Jay Sharp Building for a monstrously good time.

DUMBOWEEN Trick-or-Treating and Archway Party in DUMBO

One of our favorite neighborhood traditions, Dumboween brings hundreds of costumed Dumbonians out for Dumbo BID's Annual March to the Arch through Brooklyn Bridge Park with brass bands + puppets, followed by an Archway Party featuring crafts with Creatively Wild Art Studio, a photobooth, and of course, candy! Plus, trick-or-treat at 50+ Dumbo small businesses around the neighborhood! Gather on Washington Street between Front and Water Streets at 4pm, and then parade through Dumbo en route to the Dumbo Archway, led by live music and puppets!

Day of the Dead Family Celebration at Green-Wood Cemetery in South Slope

Discover the rich history and traditions associated with the holiday Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) through family-friendly crafts, performances, music, activities, and food.

New York City Marathon with route traversing Bay Ridge to N. Brooklyn

Cheer on fearless NYC Marathon runners as they embark on their 26.2-mile challenge starting at the Verrazano Bridge. Stake out a front row cheer spot or bounce around these Brooklyn neighborhood favorites: 4th Avenue in Sunset Park, 4th Avenue in Park Slope, Mile 8 Cheering Station at 300 Ashland in Fort Greene, Lafayette Avenue in Clinton Hill, Bedford Avenue in Bed-Stuy, Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg, Manhattan Avenue in Greenpoint.

Brooklyn Folk Festival at St. Ann's Church in Brooklyn Heights

The Brooklyn Folk Festival is a celebration of down home music, cultural diversity and memory. The annual festival provides an opportunity for community to come together, enjoy local, national, and international music and take part in workshops, film screenings, contests and jam sessions. The 3-day festival includes 30+ bands, vocal and instrumental workshops, a family-friendly square dance, jam sessions, film screenings, the famous Banjo Toss contest on Sunday 1pm, and more!
